Finding a voice chat client that works

Hi all

Im currently trying to set up a voice chat with a friend so we can play games online games easier, i've downloaded Ventrillo and GSC, weve connected to both and the mics are recieving but we cant hear each other... any suggestions ?

Use Skype if its just 2 people. Teamspeak3 and Mumble are other options

We've tried a fair number of them and decided, although it is far from perfect, Skype seemed to work the best.

Why just 2? Conference calling with multiple people is one of the best things about Skype

Yeah, but if it was like 30 then another option would be better.

its because we dont want dc , any ideas why the mic wouldent be giving sound
