finding it really difficult to find 8600m gt drivers

cant find the drivers for my lappy and AoC keeps asking me to update.


can anyone find drivers for 8600m GT pls, ive been looknig for about 2 hours now, cant find any on the nvidia website only for the 8700m gt which ive tried and its says they arent compatible.

anyway this aint much help but found this on nvidia site.

" NVIDIA provides driver updates to our Notebook and Laptop computer partners. The driver updates are then packaged and distributed by the partners, often with custom power management and other features and settings specific to that platform. NVIDIA does not control the schedule the various notebook and laptop providers use to release new drivers for their products.

NVIDIA is NOT allowed to directly distribute drivers for the vast majority of Notebook and Laptop computers.

The only way to get updates for NVIDIA laptop or notebook graphics cards is though the notebook provider."


soo according to that the manufacturer of your lap top should be able to supply them.

yes i heard this too but dell havent updated the drivers since 2007.

You'll have to mod the drivers. Laptop manufacturer's lack of support for video drivers is almost legendary.

Just download the latest mobileforce release off notebookforums, have been great for me.

^ Plus he does the modded inf's so you don't have to, so just download the drivers and the modded inf if your cards not listed in the original inf thats he displays.

I downloaded one of the modded drivers sets off here All Cards/All OS's Jobs done the trick

I don't have the link at work, but Dell released a set of XP drivers for the 8600M GT about 2 months back.
