Finding matching coving / cornice (one piece needs replacing)

Hi all,

Need to replace a couple of pieces of coving. I have found what I need (below) but it is not in stock anywhere nearby (even if I travel a reasonable distance).

My question is, is any 135mm s profile coving going to be identical? Or does it need to be the same brand?

The two I've linked do look very very similar (if not identical) in the images

Even the same brand won't be identical unless its the same batch (ie like for tiles etc)
Chances are the differences will be minimal but over time things wear etc

Two strips I'm replacing the entire thing, so any difference shouldn't be noticeable really

Just one piece will be joining a current piece that's not being removed so hopefully it will blend nicely with some filler and sanding if necessary

I think my best option is to probably get that one from homebase then?

They look pretty similar and at that price i would take a punt on whichever is easiest to get hold of.

I would aim to build/reduce the new piece to match, so thicken or remove it to match the profile of the existing as much as possible BEFORE fixing. Far easier to do at ground level than up at ceiling height
