Good morning,

Im in a bit of a pickle. I handed in my Dissertation a few months back and got a B+, hurrah! However, through a variety of unfortunate incidents with computers, and complacency on my part I have misplaced the finished version. I have managed to find a version which was last edited 4 days before the final hand in, only this version is missing the majority of the conclusion section!

I have tried contacting the University, and have heard nothing. I handed in a CD and 2 hard bound copies of it. What are the chances that they have kept hold of them? Would a request under the Freedom of Information act get this kind of info?

Kind regards,

Rob.

I just handed my dissertation into Trinity in Dublin. I know that they hold on to everything they've gotten for the last 4 or 500 years. That and a copy of every single book, article or paper published in Britain or Ireland for the last 500 years. I think the only other place to do that is Oxford :D

Apparently our University does keep them, the reason they ask for 2 bound copies is because so many people ask for a copy later in life! Everyone is allowed 1 copy to be returned to them.

They are trying to find the disc i sent in at the moment! Fingers crossed!
