Yes, really. We moved fairly recently and as such were late registering to vote. Our recently arrived letters confirming our addition to the electoral register are safe and sound in the kitchen cabinet, but we've had no polling cards delivered. I know we can still vote regardless, but the question is where? :o

Local press list all available polling stations and there are two or three in our immediate area. Can we turn up at any, or do we have a specified station? My Google fu has failed me, so I'm wondering if anyone has any links/advice?

If all fails I'll just ring the council's elections officer tomorrow and ask them, but it'd be handy to know earlier. Yes, I'm a dufus but there's not much I could have done to avoid it. At least I'm bothering to vote. :D </noob>

Maybe I should have given this thread a more interesting and/or ambiguous title. :p I've emailed the council's elections office, but I doubt they'll have time to reply tomorrow. I'd have thought the politically minded on here would have known the answer to this. Help pls? :D I've tried the aboutmyvote site, the council site, the local paper site, BBC, pretty much everything I can think of. No joy.

I thought it didn’t matter as they had a copy of the electoral register at each polling station but best ring your council's election office and ask.

Thanks. :) I did think that was a possibility but in previous elections I've always received a polling card with a specific station listed on it. Whether that's just the nearest one for convenience sake, or was 'the one', I didn't know. Only one way to find out I suppose. :D

Was on the news earlier - Some people hadn't received cards, apparently if you go to your nearest station they will direct you to the correct one if you are in the wrong place...
