The trickle vent covers above all the windows in my house are now over 20 years old and the plastic attachment points have completely perished - as soon as you touch them they turn to dust and the cover falls off. I've been trying to find some replacements but cannot find anything that looks like these at all. The ones I have are surface mounted and hinged to allow a variable amount of air through, depending on how wide you have them. They're also ~29cm hole centres, but this isn't super important as I can drill some new holes for wider replacements.

The ones I can find online seem to stick out much further, or don't have a hinge. Does anyone know of anything similar to my originals? Am I looking for the wrong thing?

For reference, this is what they look like:

That looks like a strange trickle vent, I thought they were always on the actual frame of the window pane. In your case they're not even on the outside of the frame they look to be straight up to the lintel. Do you actually feel air blowing through them?

It's a nightmare. I bought a load from Amazon and just returned then. Ended up with something roughly right from Milton products.

Same as mine were (Persimmon home?). I went for these, 300mm white. Flap position can be varied somewhat rather than full open/closed though not the same as the old ones. Holes didn't match up but easy enough job.

Mine's a Redrow. I did actually buy some of those, but I was hoping to find some more like my originals which could be closed for when it's cold and windy outside. I'll go with them if I can't find any other alternative though.

Thanks - do you have a link? My google-fu us bringing up sites for baby formula and glazing, but not window spares
