Finding Someone

Hey all,
I have recently decided I want to get in touch with my farther, who I haven’t seen since I was two (have no memory of him). What do you think the easiest way of finding someone would be? I only have his name and I don’t want to get my mum involved (don’t want her to find out what so ever). I have seen 192.com, but I’m not to sure whether I want to spend money then not find anything useful.
Any tips would be great, thanks!

Get on to 118-118 and look for a real private investigator of some sort, those sorts of websites won't help.

Tried calling your grandparents or uncles or anyone from his side of the family? Even if they don't have a way to contact him, they might have details of someone who can.

Don't have contact with anyone on his side of the family. onlinesearches.info did get me one result which might be promising.

It aint that difficult if you know when he was born.

There are all sorts of databases you can get access too, electoral register for one. How many Stephen Hawkins were born on 8 January 1942?
