Finding the Right Photo for Website

I'm currently trying to create a website for the company that I work at. The company is a vehicle recovery company, and I'm trying to find images of roads. I would obviously prefer them to be free to use for the website and be of quite high resolution.

I'm searching for images of UK roads: towns, motorways etc etc.

Can anyone recommend any good sites?

I've tried deviant, but they don't have the kind of image that's in my head and on Google they're either too small or of foreign roads.

If I can't find he right image I'll just have to create the site without a photo header.

Wikimedia Commons is usually pretty good for having high quality royalty-free pics (as long as credit is given according to the author's Terms of Use). Try doing a wiki search of a scenic region (sorry, I'm not too familiar with that area) and see if they attached any nice photos.

Example: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motorway gives this Polish road.

For a few quid there are a lot of a stock photo websites around such as BigStockPhoto and iStockPhoto that should have what you're looking for at high resolution with no need to worry about rights issues.

Yep, definitely worth spending [or charging your client ] a couple of quid for something from iStockphoto.com or equivalent.
