Hi :)

I've been playing with the overclock on my system and think there may have been a few things I didn't take into account,

It the moment I have my CPU sat at 3.68Ghz, Its cool and stable as far as I know,
But then I checked the NB frequency and that's @ 2070.9 (was 2009.9 as stock settings)

the HT link is showing the same,

I was having some ram issues too so knocked that down to 677MHz with on the OC is now 383.3MHz so 766 ish

I'm looking for some advice and help on what I should be trying to set everything on as I'm new to overclocking and really don't fancy blowing anything in my new system up

Any help would really be appreciated

cheers

What is your ram voltage, up to 1.8ish is OK for DDR2, some brands go 2.1-2.2 but check first.
Ht and NB are usually OK up to 2400 without much issue, may be a notch or two up on volts. You can always drop the multiplier to bring below 2000 if you need without too much loss in performance.

I use a bus clock of 250 with a 14x multiplyer for the CPU at -0.1V to stock, with your BE you will be keeping 200 and upping the multi I suppose. This means I use an 8x multi for the HT/NB rather than 10x

After your changes, start HWMonitor running then start Prime95 to check temperatures and stability.

cheers for that mate

I noticed the RAM was at 1.95v after the FSB and multiplier change,
Now manually set to 1.79v

will see how it goes lol
