For some random reason I had a little flash back a minute ago to being in primary school and in assembly they'd always do the "okay cross your legs and fold your arms" and if we had to stop speaking they do "fingers on lips". Was this just my school or did it happen at everyones. I'm just thinking it'd be harilous at work in a meeting with 30 odd people in it, to standard up and just say "OKAY ENOUGH TALKING FINGERS ON LIPS" hehe

ha ha ha... you've induced a flashback here as well.

Did you have wet playtimes at primary school? Was basically a riot in the classroom for half an hour at lunchtime if it was lashing it down outside. Teachers got their usual smoke break in the tea bar and we were left in the charge of older pupils.
Never worked from p5 on we just did as we pleased, in the years before that wet playtimes would be taken up with loooong games of 'heads down, thumbs up'.

You have made me have some kind of 'nam flashback, "You weren't there, man!"

We used to do that as well. In primary school that is, in secondary school I was too busy chucking chairs at people to cross my arms and shiz.

Yeah, secondary school was a whole different level. Supply teacher left the room for 30 seconds and dictionaries and chairs used to be flying everywhere.

Yeah, load of rubbish, crossing legs, what better way to make my legs go so dead i fell over afterwards more than once.
Serously, they should make forcing kids to sit on the floor illegal.

Fingers on lips was only infant school though, and no crossing arms.
