I know threads like this crop up time to time, but im after a nice new mouse that is suited to a more fingertip grip style. i currently have a ttesports black edition mouse, but if you can see from the pic below, i do hold the mouse rather far down, so only 1 of the 3 buttons is in reach and i do have to contort my hand a fair amount to reach the others. So it isn't too great.

Any suggestions?

You hold a mouse the same as I do, brother, and I have the same plight. I am getting a Logitech G600 this Xmas. The other possible mouse I would have tried is the SteelSeries Sensei Pro Laser, but since I play MMO's and FPS, G600 it is.

Another one here who has the same problem :p

I've used the G600 as mentioned above, but I found it too tall to hold it how I would like to. I like the heel of my hand to be touching the mousemat, I can't do that with a G600. You have to palm-grip it.

We'll, I hope it's ok for me, other wise I'll send it back and get the SteelSeries I mentioned in my first post.

Exactly what i have with the majority of the palm on the mouse mat. The CM storm recon looks ok. Seems to be generally a fingertip mouse. Possibly the razer abyssus also.

It depends on what you're used to also of course. I use the 'hybrid grip' as it is called on CM Tim's link and I have a CM Storm Sentinel Advance. Have had since launch however long ago that was, and I find it incredibly comfortable to use despite it being a mouse that is supposed to be palmed.

im sure mine is more of the hybrid grip. I just have to go very claw like to reach the furthest side buttons, which is bloody awkward.

Never had a rep try to sway me, seems like good support, i will definitely consider the recon.

Cooler Master's opinion of a finger/hybrid grip seems pretty ludicrous to me, and the blurb that goes along with it, how can such little contact offer "exceptional control" the way the man demonstrates in the video.

The picture is accurate and I agree it's a finger tip grip, but that also leads me to cynacism that the Recon, Spawn and Xornet are not finger tip mice, but the best mice they have for finger tip grip. Proof is in the image, look where the thumb is resting, the rear button, a finger tip grip is not going to reach the forward button without shifting grip.

It's not an attribute exclusive to CM either, all mice manufacturer's are at it. There is no true finger tip grip mouse out there in the wild, all of us that use that grip can do is make do, and this is why I use MMO designed mice, because there will always be at least 2 buttons on the side I can use.

How about it CM Tim, propose to your R&D team that you make a true finger tip mouse, the market is wide open and Cooler Master will be first.

CM Tim, allow me to present to you some concept art, I have a working title for this mouse, the "Cooler Master FingerFun".

You might recognize the original I masterfully adapted, it's from your Hybrid Grip page. I didn't see any copyright but if there is just let me know and I'll remove the image. Without further ado, the FingerFun!!

As you can see there are now 2 buttons underneath the thumb so there is no reason at all to shift grip to use both buttons on the side of the mouse. If you can make it 6000dpi too, that would be awesome. Smiley face on the button is at your discretion.

As beautifully edited as that is, it is a fair shout. i would much prefer the buttons to be in that config, my thumbs don't usually stretch that far!

Hey esoteric,

Thank you for your awesome input, I really like your concept art. :)

I proposed the CM Storm FingerFun to our CM Storm PM team, they liked it, they now will pick this up with the R&D Department to check if there is already something in development for this, and also if there are any plans to create a "FingerFun" Mouse.
I hope the smiley will be on that button! ^_^

If you have other good idea's don't hesitate to contact me :)

Please let me know if there is anything like this in the pipeline, would snap it up straight away.

Cheers for your help Tim.
