What a game. Only had the Rift S for a few weeks and tried to drag Alyx out as much as I could as I was really enjoying it.

Where should I go next? I'm after another fully realised game in VR, not an arcade/rhythm game etc.

I've been looking at Lone Echo, Stormlands, and Asgards Wrath. I guess they're are all a bit different but all look great.

Nothing else I've tried quite compares in my opinion...

Lone echo is nicely done and worth playing but I didn't find it as engaging. Didn't get in to Asgards Wrath but others seem to like it.

Arktika 1 is quite fun too, not in the same league as Alyx but a game worth playing if that genre appeals.

Lone Echo is one of my all-time favourites. OK, it's not the deepest, longest game, but it's probably the most immersive.
Asgards Wrath is pretty good. Extremely long, so you get your money's worth. Requires a monster PC to get the best out of it though.
Stormlands had potential but got abandoned when the developer got bought out by Sony.
Wilson's Heart is a great adventure game. Teleport only though, but think of it a bit like a first person point and click. Great performances and story, and some good interactions.
From Other Suns is an excellent rogue-lite game similar to the 2D game FTL. Best played with others, but works great single player too.
Robinson the Journey is worth looking at when on sale.
Doom 3 fully posessed mod turns Doom 3 into a proper VR game.
Alien Isolation Mod
The Vader Immortal series
In Death
Moss
Apex Construct
Arizona Sunshine
The Mages Tale
The Climb
L.A. Noire The VR Case files
Skyrim VR (Great when fully modded)
Borderlands 2 VR
No Mans Sky
The Forest

Just downloading now -130 Gb was hoping it would be good for that.

OP I spent quite a good amount of time ~50hrs plus in subnautica and skyrim VR. Although I had not played skyrim on pancake.

I also have boneworks but it makes me too sick currently - all other games are fine

Saints and sinners, good story, decent graphics, good shooter, and depth by way of hunting for stuff to make other sutff (weapons/ health upgrades etc).

It also is not stricly linear which is nice

I hear a lot of buzz around Saints and Sinners. I initially just wrote it off as I assumed it was just another licensed bit of walking dead tatt but cant argue with the reviews etc I have now seen for it.

Is there any reason not to buy it on steam over the oculus store? Can get it cheaper on cdkeys for steam. Is there any issue with performance between the 2 platforms? I seen rumblings that suggest such issues can occur but I cant see why? My experiance with Alyx via steam was essentially flawless.

Brilliant recommendations here. Making a list

With Steam you have the flexibility that if you buy a non-Oculus headset you can still play the game without having to mess about with Revive to emulate an Oculus headset.

But apparently Saints and Sinners will be cross-buy on Oculus Quest so if you buy the Oculus PC version you should get the Quest version too, which is a big win.

I bought the Steam VR version because it was substantially cheaper than the Oculus version, plus I now have an Index as well as a Quest.

Native Oculus games (those using the Oculus API) tend to run better on Oculus hardware than games using the Steam VR API, so that's another consideration. Though some Steam games with VR will use the Oculus API instead of the Steam VR API if an Oculus headset is detected, or even give you the choice.

I'm in the same boat post Alyx....Saints and Sinners is the one that I keep being drawn to but not yet pulled the trigger as some comments suggest it's been discounted before and I'm a tight Scotsman! Some of the first person shooter multi player ones look alright but not enough to actually buy yet either

Contractors is £7.50, it's worth it's asking price. 50% is a steal if you want a mp shooter, graphically alone it's not far off the quality of Alex.

I grabbed walking dead on CDKEYS for the steam version last night. 19.99, £10ish cheaper than steam directly
