Just finished HL2 Ep1.

Whjat game should i try next?

AThionking of playing through Doom3 again as i only had a Radeon 9800 last time i played it :)

How about oblivion?

By the looks of your pc specs you should be able to run it fairly well, and it is a great game, deep and will keep you entertained for a long time!

Slightly off topic...I don't know if I'll be buying Episode 2 when it comes out.

Episode 1 was shockingly short, I just completed it today. It only became interesting once you got outside the citadel and then it pretty much finished...not great value for money :( .

Anyway...

Games to play...

Oblivion
Thief 3 (The Dark Project)
Far Cry (if you haven't already)

Already done quake 4, and ive got oblivion, but i got bored of it pretty quickly so i didnt reinstall it when i changed my rig. It looked good, but i just didnt seem to be getting anywhere?

get ready to buy ep 2 full price when it comes out

lol, popular demand

What a completely irrelevant post.

You don't like it, don't buy the games, simple really.

Have you played through it with audi commentary and all difficulty levels?

Neways yeah, Oblivion fo sho.

Is Ep2 really gona be full price, I've heard it will be signifiently longer then Ep1 but not quite as long as HL2.

I definintely agree about Episode 1 being too short. I spent the whole of the Citadel/ Underground section just looking forward to getting out, but by the time I'd got onto the streets of City 17, it was all but over.

Really loving the outdoorness of Episode 2 though. I hope it's a little bit longer and a little bit more combat. The first couple of parts of Ep. 1 really felt like they were on rails to me, and while there were one or two great (read: terrifying) sections, on the whole it wasn't what HL was all about to me.

Well looking forward to the additional multi in Ep. 2 as well, being an old TFC player although I am sceptical as to how long I'll be playing it for when all they really seem to have done is give it a lick of paint.

since you've got steam already, download the Episode 2 videos (its worth viewing high quality videos of it -unlike the youtube versions :/ )

comes with Team Fortress 2 and Portal -these games look like it'd be worth paying for for each of these alone

really hope they get it right with TF2, the cartooneyness of the video is really cool, tfc's never been a serious game, but its a bloomin awesome one -runs on pretty much any pc that will run xp! should be played everyday by everyone for an hour at least :)
