Finished my first WU \o/

Well..

My P3 rig actually finished a WU before my XP 3200 it seems lol. Do i need to do anything or just leave it?

Also, when will my stats get updated? Whats the average ammount of credits i should be getting for a WU?

Also, my XP is due to finish in about 20mins :)
 
There's wide variation in the amount of credit you get per WU. Big WUs that take a long time can be worth between 500 and 1200ish points. Smaller ones that run quickly can be worth way less than 100 points. Which project do you have?

Find the project numbers and looks at the project summary page to check how much it is worth.

To find out what project you have, look in unitinfo.txt for a string like:

Name: p994_sundfkcomp
This WU is one from project 994 so a quick glance at the Stanford page tells me it's worth 130 points.

Alternatively, you can look in your fahlog.txt file for a string like:
Code: 
[05:45:36] Project: 994 (Run 200, Clone 0, Gen 12)
This is the project number and the run, clone, and generation numbers. Together all four of those describe a unique WU that was assigned to you and only you. If anything ever goes bonkers, the admins at the official forum will want to know these numbers so they can look up the WU in their database.

Well both WUs have finished now, and one was worth 200points and the other was worth 192 points.

My stats have updated on the website, but not my sig :( :)
 
you should appear in the main stats within an hour of finishing it - it can sometimes take longer depending on how busy the network is at the time

the EOC stats are updated every 3 hours so those will take longer still, the team stats sigs are updated once a day so that should start showing up tomorrow if all goes to plan :)

Just another question... If a WU is taking longer than normal, and its credit payout isnt that high, is it worth stopping it? Or would you advise to keep it running?

Its just the P3 completed a WU in 4 days for 200 credits, and now its started its second, which is gonna take 6 days for 160 credits :confused:

I wouldn't bother stopping it to be honest. There's no guarantee you'll get a better one in it's place and you could spend ages doing it until you do.

Also, it's not a good idea from the science side of things because the WU will get sent back unfinished and have to be sent out to someone else to get done.

I'm afraid you'll just have to accept that you have to take the rough with the smooth :)

I used to have a Duron 1200 which took over a week to finish a Tinker WU.

You have to leave it running.

1. It's against the spirit of the whole F@H system to stop it
2. You will anger the Foldy Gods
