Maybe when i do a new system build every 4 to 5 years i may look at that then. I'll get the guys who work with me to give me some help as well, but by 4 to 5 years have passed i should have made custom water cooling computers by then for customers so i will have some experience but at the moment the closest to watercooling i've done is install a H100 and a H80 coolers but they are around £100 and £75 respectively so nowhere near as big as these fully fledged water cooling kits and nor do they take much specialist knowledge.

All in due time :) for now my budget range is grab what i can when i can with the money i have left over from not indulging myself.

I think mine cost about £800...That's not including the new case i had to buy.
I'd have to take a closer look as to how much it actually cost, i don't tend to pay attention to how much things costs if my mind is set upon having it

That is exactly what i try to do :D - I will push and push and push till i have it. Then i can face theconsequence of my actions, but i wont care as i have new computer hardware ^-^.

gladly im not married but it doesn't stop the girlfriend from trying to manage my bank account for me. I have a special hardware box hidden behind 5 of my guitars with all my receipts in, she dare not touch any one of those guitars so for now its safe.

It's also somewhat easy to disclaim any new hardware as she struggles to understand why a laptop is different from a desktop though when i got my HAF X case a few months ago that was a bit tricky to cover up, i was in my office and my old mid tower case fit inside my desk area so its was away. Now i have this huge case thats just as big as the desk i work on and her face said it all. I denied everything though and claimed she was loosing it :D

Sometimes i wonder how we guys get away with it. I mean it was not a smooth transition by a couple of cm it more than double in size in nearly every diameter, more or less. I think she's eventually copped on that the massive fan on the side of the case is about the size of the old case but she hasn't said anything, yet.

I think we mostly get away with it because it bores our partners to death even thinking about PCs. So long as we maintain the illusion that upgrading our hardware is very very cheap, they will continue to lack interest and we can get away with murder :p

I keep mine happy by passing my old hardware on to her, so she has a lovely PC to play Minecraft on and what not :p

Just finished my prodigy water cooled build.

Temps I'm getting are as follows....

I5 2500K @ 4.6 .... 1.37V
60deg Load

GTX670
45deg Load

240rad 60mm thick - fans running at 900rpm
120rad 60mm thick - fans running at 700rpm

Temps seem ok/as expected?

I should be able to run the CPU at lower voltage but I can't get it to drop for the life of me. Probably my inexperience here as my current clock is set by simply adjusting the multiplier.

My temps are almost exactly the same
