How often should it take to upload a finished WU? I have been trying from last night roughly 3am and then again this morning. Everytime same result failed to connect to such and i.p. addy, WU put in queue, and it proceeds to work on a new WU any ideas?

TIA

Could be that the servers are down at Stanford... are you sure that you computer can access the net??

I have net access for sure been browsing and posting the folding proggy is also verifying/checking and downloaded a new WU. Will just keep trying.

The client automatically tries to send an completed results every 6 hours.

There are several work servers that are under extreme network load at the moment, including the collection server. The only solution in this situation is to wait, and let the client do its thing. The queue can hold up to 9 units in addition to the one it's currently working on, so there's not much chance of you overwriting finished work.

UF, why are the servers getting hammered so much these days? Through the project's history its had a reputation for having extremely good uptime in comparison to other DC projects.

The CS is being battered due to heavy traffic from people trying to return WUs to .68 (the one with the disk controller failure). The other heavily loaded server is .65 which is currently marked as number 1 on the assignment order.
Basically we're waiting for the new server upgrades to be connected into the work server system to help calm things down, as if you look at the serverstat page you'll see there are a lot of servers that have been "down" for a long time.

Hopefully by the beginning of next week things should start to calm down a little, although the CS load will probably only be negated once .68 is fixed. As far as I know there is still no ETA on that though, although I'm pretty sure Peter is doing all he can to get it fixed as fast as is possible, after all it's his research thats stuck on the disks.
