As title, I played through a fair chunk of F.E.A.R. on my PC a couple of years back and wondered how the 360 version compares. I've moved over to my 360 for all of my gaming now as my PC is getting on a bit (3800X2, 7600GT, 2GB).

Is F.E.A.R. still pretty good on the 360? I know it won't be AS good as the PC version, graphics, physics wise and what not. But, would I still get a good experience out of this, do you think?

Cheers,
Naffa

What are your opinions on this game? I played the Fear 2 demo last night and enjoyed it until all the shooting started. Is the first more of the same or is it more biased towards the spooky parts? i.e. less combat

Its a bit meh tbh. The combat is fun but the game is insanely repetitive, the environments are dull, nearly every level just looks the same. Its a shame really because the combat mechanic is fun until you realise there are only about 3 different enemy types repeated throughout the game.

To the op i'd say they're almost completely identical other than the 360 version being 720p, been awhile since I've played it on the 360 but the frame rate seemed to stay around the 30 mark with the very rare exception. You also get dual smg's and another game mode that weren't in the pc version from what I remember.

JBeck, I would say that the combat in the first Fear is far superior to what I've played in the Fear 2 demo. It feels far more chaotic and has more punch in the original imo. You could quite easily get killed in the first one if you didn't use slo mo at the right times, the AI also seems better in the original but that could just be because the new demo was from the first level.

It's more focused on combat than suspense to answer your question but it does have a lot of moments that scarred the crap out of me, actually I'd say I was a bit edgy throughout.

I also can't believe in the new fear it seem like the grenades no longer detonate on impact :(
