Basic story is I had been using a H50 to keep my 2500k as cool as possible but it just wasn't cutting it, especially since the cooling isn't exactly brilliant in the Fractal Design XL so decided to head down the custom water route again.

Problem was the XL doesn't exactly cater for big radiators so out came the dremel ;)

360 radiator hole was cut in the top panel and the rad was fitting along with gloss black grill and 3 Apache Blacks.

Coolant is Mayhems Pastel - Ice White aka Milk and it's currently going through an EK Supreme HF Nickle Acetal block via a DCP 4.0 pump.

System specs are:-

Intel i5 2500k
Asus P8Z68-V
8GB DDR3 GeIL Value PC3-128000 - Now Corsair XMS3 8GB
MSI 6950 Twin Frozr II with unlocked shaders at around 930/1400

Sadly it appears that my 2500k isn't the best chip around and needs quite a bit of voltage to keep it stable at 5GHz however i'm still in the process of having a play to find the sweet spot.

Now since doing all of the above I've got the modding bug again and fancied tidying some bits up. It doesn't look too bad as it currently is but some parts just bugged me, namely the tubing which is just too long IMO and could be shorter if I used some angle connections.

So carrying on with the white/black theme I've decided to ditch the Apache Blacks and white case fans and go back to the Fractal routes with some 120mm and 140mm Fractal fans. Probably won't be anywhere near as good on the rad however they will be a lot quieter.

I've also removed all of the lower compartment HDD cages and with the PSU mounted on it's side there's a fair bit of space down there to fit another 360 radiator.

Plan is to hide the pump and res behind that and to include the graphics card in the loop as well but i'm not sure on what block to use as it's a non reference card I think?

The top grill also needs finishing off and mounting to the case too so little bits and pieces really.

Corsair 8GB has arrived, will be ordering another set soon for 16GB with RAM prices being so low at the moment.
