Hey all,

So I'm in the process of building my first gaming pc - I will mainly be gaming but I also do some streaming too. I will be playing certain games such as WoW, SoM, Wildstar etc etc

Here are the components I already have:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Antec TruePower Classic 550w '80 Plus Gold' Power Supply £55.99
1 x Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C10 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (HX316C10FBK2/8) £52.99
1 x Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST1000DM003) HDD £42.95
Total : £161.53 (includes shipping : £8.00).

And what I require:

I would like either an i5 or an i7 processor, an appropriate graphics card to go along with it and of course a motherboard to compliment all the components.

I also need a case so any personal favourites shout them out, I would rather it be ATX size purely because it's my first time, but I wouldn't turn down any suggestions!
Edit: I'm a complete sucker for cosmetic good looks on a case!!

As for budget I'm not too sure, I'm optimistic so just go with what you think may go well with the items above. I don't want to overdo it or get items that are 'better' if I'm not going to see ay benefit!

Look forward to seeing what you can suggest!

Yeah I mentioned I'd be optimistic. I don't think I need an SSD, Is the difference they make noticeable?

Edit: Other suggestions welcome, a lower price tag would appeal more!

SSD are one of the greatest changes you can add to any system and make it quicker at responding.boot times, loading times etc, after using one you can never go back to a normal mechanical drive to run the OS and games etc.

How much cheaper?

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-4690K 3.50GHz (Devil's Canyon) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail £191.99
1 x MSI Radeon R9 280X Gaming Edition OC 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £169.99
1 x SK Hynix 256GB SSD SH910A SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Drive (HFS256G32MNB-2201A) £84.98
1 x Gigabyte Z97P-D3 Intel Z97 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £62.99
1 x Raijintek Agos Midi Tower - Black £39.95
1 x Raijintek Themis Black Heatpipe CPU Cooler PWM - 120mm £19.99
Total : £579.49 (includes shipping : £8.00).

Dont replace the HDD, but instead use the SSD to install the operating system and games/programs too then use the HDD as a storage drive (different drive letter) to hold your photos/music/films etc.
