fire fox running offline ? ? ?

hi guys
hope you can help me out here
im using firefox 3.5.3 and after about an hour of use it turns itself onto work offline mode. i untick the offline mode refresh but its still offline mode
i have to reboot to cure

any ideas whats causing this really really annoying bug ?
