Fire pit

I like my solo stove but its damn expensive for what it is. I think you really need the heat deflector for it if you plan on siting even a little bit away from it. Also if you want to use poorer quality wood you want the guard to stop it spitting. I don't find emptying the ash to be an issue so if you can get a v1 without removable ash pan then go for it.

I bought a few fancy and made a brick lined pit, but have now settled with a washing machine drum and legs I bought off of Ebay.

DO you have any pics of the washing machine drum and how the legs are attached? I've got a machine waiting to be disassembled and I'm on the lookout for legs and have been wondering how to attach them.

I'm away atm, but it is just a drum and I bought 4 metal legs on ebay and stainless nuts and bolts from Toolstation and used just 3 legs and marked the holes with a Marxman pen.

Yes and also I have a La Hacienda/German BBQ, which looks good and can be had at a decent price.

That looks fab! I've now managed to dismantle most of the washing machine, just struggling to get the bearing bolt undone, a big breaker bar and length of pipe to give extra leverage sadly just resulted in shearing my massive T30 bit!

The I tried to cut away the remains of the plastic housing to get better access using a mutlti-tool and that died! Next up is the grinder to just cut the bolt off... hopefully no breakages when I give that a go else this firepit will have et me back a huge chunk of money! lol.

I think I would cry if I broke my T30 bit. I don't use it anymore, but history wise it's bad some use.

Looking at your current luck can I seggest just buying one
