Fire Place help!

Hey Guys,

As some of you know got the keys to my new place etc, now I have a fire place in the Lounge which is almost original? maybe? I would like to remove the metal to have it restored professsionally.

However anyone know how on earth I get the thing out!! I have looked over and cant seem to find any fixings etc.

Ok you guys have made me think Situ is the way to go!

I know some of you have said sandblast, is there any other way to go? this will create havok in the house!

The surround appears to be wood, so im guessing a fine wet and dry sand paper?

The actual fire is all metal, any recommendations for a stripper?
