I have a non 4K Fire TV (box not usb) which is hooked up to an LG B7 and I’m getting an inch thick black band round the image, making it look like the bezel on the tv is about two inches thick.

Is there a setting I’m missing or need to turn off on either the TV or the box? Obviously I’m not expecting 4K, but presumably a 1080p source should upscale perfectly to fit the whole screen on a 3840x2160 display and not leave a large band round the entire edge!

What do i need to change though? I’ve played around in there but it doesn’t seem to make a difference.

Mine is is set to 4K Auto, but you should be able to calibrate the display so the arrows go to the edge of the screen.

Max on mine is 1080p (presumably yours is the 4K version?).

I’ll try the display calibration option, presumably on the TV?

The fire TV was set to 1080.

I found the issue in the end, I had to turn Justscan off on the TV, it was set to auto previously which seemed to be the reason it created the bars.
