Fire TV stick

If it's a completely open network or one secured with just a password then it should work. If there's a captive portal than it won't.

I often use my Fire TV stick when stuck in a hotel and either tether it to my phone or mifi device.

Thanks for that. I did read that the Fire Stick had an update that addresses the captive portal issue but I think I'll just get a travel router to be sure.
