Good use of DOF. However, try postioning closest candle on left hand side as this is the way we read so it is a more natural lead in

I could just flip the image

So I did some more. First a variation on a theme:

After that, I took up the idea of shooting from underneath through glass. Couldn't really get this in focus as I couldn't look down the viewfinder whilst focussing and taking the pic. Just a case of putting the camera on the floor pointing up, and praying it focusses on something meaningful:

Then I decided to just mess around with the mirror:

Noticing the reflection below, I thought I'd get that as well:
