so got me thinking does anyone actually know the rules ?

I always got the impression it was more about the bowling ball being on fire than the rules.

Right you know at the start of the episode where chandler is firing the ball into the bowl? basically its that, but the tennis ball is one fire and its going across the room

Not sure how you get the bowling ball on fire though....

White Spirit all over Bowling Ball, then light it. Gives off a blue flame effect. :cool:
