FireFall..!!

its being created by the ex WOW & Tribes developers, so it might be quite a good game, i think i ll defo try it when it comes out!

Maybe, maybe not. The asians have started pumping wads of cash into F2P and it's only a matter of time before the west does too. Check out the videos for Arch Age to see the result of it for the graphics side, for gameplay i wouldn't like to guess as it can be a dodgy area when it comes to F2P + Cashshops.
 
It looks to be WoW, UT3 and Gears of War plus a little bit of Half Life for creature reference... I loved the opening creature designs and landscapes, but then it went down hill from what I saw. Might try it though if its F2P.
 
Looks quality, bar the weird turn into a robot and fly bits.... how do games like this come about though? I mean there is obviously cash behind it somewhere to pay the people to make it and then host it etc, so is the game chock full of ads? Do you get to play to a certain 'level' and then you have to pay to get further etc, or is the game the same for all?

I'd need to know a bit more about it before I could consider it an MMO, seems more like an Ofps with a persistent world to me from what I've seen.

The Firefall wiki says this on the question

Is Firefall an MMO?
No. Firefall is first and foremost an action shooter. We incorporated a lot of elements that you might find in various genres, including MMOs, but it is not an MMO in the traditional sense.

Though to be honest, as long as its fun it doesnt matter what genre its classified as :D
