Some kind of reunion show seems possible. Although of course no Whedon and no Ron Glass (rip) The other possibility is some kind of audio drama continuation like they did with Buffy.

Guessing it's either another comic or podcast. Think the film killed any chance of a new series, wonder if a Netflix etc might have done something without the movie (and Josh Wheedon shenanigan's)

A sequel? Doesn't seem like it with Alan Tudyk aka Wash in there.

They have a podcast, maybe they are just getting them all on?

They've said it isn't a podcast, convention or crossover. I don't know why the cast would be needed for a comic.

I'll watch it as enjoyed the original series but feel like it's 10 years too late

It's been so long that ive basically forgotten fire fly now, the news has no emotional impact. If it was BSG 2004 with original cast though......also considering what happened with bringing "Star Trek" back, im not hopeful!! lol that was god awful on every level, Trek ended with Enterprise.

As much as I'd like this I've a feeling it's too long coming and with the way things have been with recent stuff they'll just make an absolute mess of it, also would they just set Serenity as a stand alone story both Sheppard and Wash died in that and also Ron Glass has passed in real life.

Voice cast for a video game?

They didn't actually bring anything back with that, though. They just continually rewrote, chewed up and regurgitated some vaguely associated crap, slapped a sticker on it, and shovelled it out the back door.
Same for The Acolyte.
This, at least, has the orginal cast, who have pretty much carried on maintaining their characters and the spirit of the series since it ended.
