looks like your copy/paste of the link is borked rather than the links themselves...

Baaaad idea. Places (SQLlite History and Bookmarks) don't work properly, and those builds are still pretty unstable. It isn't the RC1 either (RC1's expected March 21st) - just today's nightly build.

The links don't work because you screwed up copying and pasting them

The first one should be ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla1.8

Once again, don't (unless you can accept an unstable/incomplete browser).

It's out now.

Be warned, it'll break your themes (and most of your extensions), and it's by no means complete.

Also, if you installed the 1.5 betas, you'll get this through auto update (when it's fixed).
You can stop this by editing defaults\pref\channel-prefs.js in your Firefox install dir, while Firefox isn't running. Change "beta" to "release", and you're done.
