For anyone that's interested:

http://www.mozilla.org/projects/bonecho/releases/2.0b2.html

New theme's probably the biggest change. Still a work in progress, and looks (especially) awful in Windows 2000 or the Classic theme in XP.

Usual rules apply, backup your profile, use a different profile to run testing builds, don't complain if you disregard that and your bookmarks disappear into the ether. :p
On that note, there's more instructions than you can shake a stick at here, courtesy of MozillaZine.

In other news, expect 1.5.07 to release soon - probably by the end of next week.

Not surprising, given some of the changes. Some'll work if you force them to install (Nightly Tester Tools is your friend), but bits of the UI (especially the options box) break.

Any fans of the <v1 theme (AKA Qute) might like QuBranch - Qute maintained for v2 (AKA the Gecko 1.8 branch).

Edit: A link to QuBranch might be useful, duh :p :o

Woo, me downloads. Not played with beta's for a longtime now. Ta for heads up!

Edit: First opinions on this are that it's lightening fast. Window redraws and rendering speeds have really speeded up a great deal. The options box has been reorganised and is much easier to navigate around now. The new theme is quite pleasing unlike the previous crap one. It now looks nice and clean just like when FF used to use Qute iirc.

Sadly my extensions aren't compat yet as expected so I'll go back to 1.5.x atm:

Adblock 0.5.3.043
Foxmarks Bookmark Sync 0.72
IE View 1.2.9
Session Saver 0.2.1.031 - Possibly no longer required as Beta2 autosaves sessions I'm told?
Tabbrowser Prefs 1.2.8.9
Web Developer 1.0.2

The only extension that works is Videodownloader 1.0 lol

No longer maintained IIRC. Replace with Adblock Plus.

Foxmarks Bookmark Sync 0.72

Pass.

IE View 1.2.9

Works fine.

Yeah it does. Works fine though.

Tabbrowser Prefs 1.2.8.9

IIRC a new version's been turned out.

Web Developer 1.0.2

Works.

Nightly Tester Tools (link above) will force them to work, or there's an about:config option (that I can't remember) you can change that'll switch off compatibility checking.
