Minefeild is an apt name from my experiences, it blows up a lot :P

Places is nice though.

Been using it for a while now, some sites just wont work with it though for some reason or will be layed out wrong.

I started running it when Firefox 2 was released.
On the whole it's stable, there aren't many (visible) differences, but there's the Reflow branch in the pipeline (that'll give better rendering, Acid2 compliance et al), Cairo, proper widgets on OSX et al.

It isn't 3.0a1 though, that's just what it's been set to. Expect a 3.0 Alpha 1 sometimes next year, heading towards release in roughly a year.

Shame it's been gone since the new theme landed on it, and on its return is unlikely to bear much (if any) resemblance to what it left behind.

If you don't want to get into nightly testing (and potentially having a browser that goes from working to dead from one day to the next), stick with Firefox 2 or at least hang fire till there's a branch for Gran Paradiso.

I personally didnt really like FF2 as it was quite slow compared to its counterpart IE7. But this is above and beyond the speed of both!
