Any idea how long it will be until the final build is released? I have been running 3.5b4 on the laptop and it is not that bad.

EDIT: It only gets 93/100 on Acid3

Few more weeks until final build :P

I should probably adblock the logo too aye :D

Tiger33 it's an excuse to have the latest so aye :p it's a bit better at rendering speed and of course better Acid 3 and Java performance.

how did you test the java performance which websites did you use for reference?

i looked at some stats the other day and it didnt look as though this latest version of firefox is as fast as chrome or safari (although i dont like either)

What's with the "Overclockers UK only the best hardware" ? I've never even seen that before, all i get is the red/white/blue OCUK logo in the top left.

Hmmm, the colours on some websites seem much darker in the preview. I'll have to compare with IE8 *vomit* however here we go:

Doesn't seem to like a mid grey.

Yeah your screenshot shows the difference but on my screen looking at the actual source (inc my own screenshot) there is no colour difference at all.

I have a colour calibrated monitor too btw.

You know what I mean!

As for the colour, here's how I see it, no issues at all but in the screen dup posted his firefox does appear to show some loss of grey detail.

Left to right = Mine actual,. mine screenshot posted by dup, dup's screenshot.

As you can see both mine look identical (ignore the slight variance in my two, CS4 is set in proof mode) whereas Dup's Firefox is darker.

Mystery....

Is there an embedded colour profile somewhere?
There are bugs for weird behaviour with ICCv4 profiles in 3.5.
