Firefox 3.6 and Spell Check

Hi Folks

I have installed Firefox 3.6 (Windows 7 64Bit) and I cannot seem to get the spell checker to work.

According to the firefox help, it should be enabled by default, I have checked the settings as per:

and spell check is selected.

However, regardless of what I type into text boxs (tried several sites) no errors are shown.

Anyone else seen this?

Go to Tools-Options-Advanced-General and tick check my spelling as i type.
The restart firefox.

You probably have not enabled/added a dictionary:

Will the spell checker work with everthing you type or is just certain sites/thingamajigas?

Indeed it does, is there a way to get the misspelled words to to highlight as you type, I can only see, right click - check spelling?

It does that anyway in the same way MS Word spellchecks as you type.

Hmm not for me, it won't tell me I have misspelled a word unless I right click and check spelling.

Right click and check the tickbox is next to check spelling - that auto enables it all the time.

Yer tried that on both laptop and desktop, doesn't work on both, must be another setting somewhere?

Nah the check the spelling as I type is ticked, I'll have a butchers on google.
