The next-next generation of the Mozilla Foundation's popular web browser - Firefox 3.7 - is set to get a significant speed boost on Windows systems thanks to Direct2D support.

For those wanting to try out the Direct2D-enabled Firefox 3.7 alpha - and who are running Windows 7 or an updated copy of Windows Vista along with a DirectX10-compatible graphics card with WDDM 1.0 driver - you can download it immediately. The usual caveats about relying on alpha-grade software apply, and sadly this is Windows-only.

its from btn but i dont know if i'm allowed to link it.

anyway here is the link for firefox 3.7
http://www.bassified.nl/firefox-3.7a1pre.en-US.win32.d2d.zip

i'm using windows 7 with a geforce go 7600, handles pages faster and smoother.

No faster than chrome for me.

maybe its not working in your setup, its got limited compatibility since its alpha.

i was very skeptical about it at first but i'm surprised at how noticeably fast it really is , especially when viewing picture/video galleries.

actually its kinda like running a game at 60fps lol

LOL :D

3.7a makes my screen look ugly. The whole of OcUK looks blurry, the font is fuzzy and blocky, and there doesn't seem to be anything in the way of useful options to fix0r it. I'll wait for it to at least hit beta I think. :)

no blurriness here, but it does look different ... better imo lol, but i'm using a 17inch laptop.
