As above really. Once the CPU usage reaches 50% it locks up and then needs to be closed from the task manager. I've noticed this mostly happens when I have a 3-4 tabs open, and a small pop-up window.

Does anyone have similar issues? Possible solutions?

Thanks!

I'm using the latest version 3.0.5

Nope, IE7 and Chrome both work fine

Never thought about disabling addons. Will do this and report back later. cheers :)

How much memory does it use up when this happens?

Is it only on certain websites?
Task manager shows about 140k~ or thereabouts memory usage when the lockups occur. I sense a lock-up/freeze is near when it gets unresponsive.

The main site where this happens is on betdaq but it has happened on other random sites too.

Tried (Firefox's) safe mode, or a new profile. Disabling addons will do most of the same thing as safe mode.

Using Firebug by any chance?

I have disabled and uninstalled some extensions with no problem thus far, but I am getting unresponsiveness (lag on tab closure) at times. I haven't created a new profile, but I will try it. Nope I don't use Firebug - first time I've heard of it infact.

Thanks everyone
