Firefox 3 messed up

got a problem with firefox 3 in that everytime i do a search via the home page and get the results when i click on a link it opens up another tab and opens a random page any link i click from the results opens a random page in a different tab :confused:

are the random pages adverts, website's you've been to?

have yo run a spyware scan? Sounds a bit dodgy to me.

running spybot at the moment will try ad-aware if spybot finds nothing

all my search result links even in windows internet explorer now do it

right picked up a nasty bug and i cant shift it i think its something to do with player.exe which i belive is a trojan its not letting me on a lot of sites and i just dont no how to shift it as i have tryed ccleaner,ad-aware 2008 and spybot i know there are others but i just cant get to them to download them is its bloody blocking me, dear god help me please

So when you remove/kill player.exe does it come back?
