Hi, couldn't see a thread on this.

Mozilla has released the first candidate build for its Firefox 4 browser beta, with the latest version slated for an official launch in November later this year.

If you cannot wait that long, then you can check out the latest developer build of the all-new Firefox here.

You're getting that screen because the beta hasn't been released yet. What's been released is a build which will become beta if it passes tests and after the web content is updated. As usual, some websites jump the gun and insist it's 'OMG Firefox 4!'

I wouldn't bothor . It doesnt even have close/minimise/maximise buttons..
Yes it does

It seems quite alright, just looks a bit different.

Can't really see any improvement to page loading etc really over the current release though.

The close/min/max buttons are broken because the code to draw in the title bar only went in the other day and still has a load of bugs. There's a reason this is basically a nightly with a different compile flag.

What Mattus said, too. It's already been decided that there's going to be at least one more candidate build. Usual rules on backing up your profile also apply.

Incoming is work to make scrolling with fixed backgrounds faster, a tonne of JS improvements and a load of other stuffs. There's already an altered addons manager (looks Mac-like; finished UI still to come) and some hardware acceleration...
