so any recommendations for a youtube downloader that works within ff ?
Apparently the Audio bitrate from html5/webm(vp9/vp8) streams is better @160Kbs than older flash/h264/mp4 @128Kbs, and downloader add-on I have only does mp4.
(ironically graphics cards are less likely to HW accelerate vp9/8 than h264, so older stream maybe better for me, less jitter)
seems there is a standalone youtube-dl which I may try if it checks-out w/no-mal/adware

Is your default search provider for that set to Google UK?

Good thing is if the address bar suggestions are not relevant, just click the first one, to push that search query to the Google site instead.
You only get 5 suggestions in the address bar of course.
Personally I find Chrome pants, the interface isn't useful at all (menubar/layout), and Edge... let's not even get started, glol.
What skin is that?

Mine works fine with Vivaldi, Natwest.
It was Tesco bank site. I clicked confirm payment and the verification screen would screw up. I tried a few times and my card got blocked!

My prediction is that things like third party plugins will eventually became obsolete in the future.

Edit: I had to experiment with disabling some add ons to get rid of the "disabled by add-ons" message, but it's working now. Major improvement in responsiveness! It's actually almost unbelievable.
Edit 2: I wasn't totally happy with the multiprocess mode - hard to describe but scrolling up and down this forum would sometimes have a little lag, like the page contents were a bit behind. Did a refresh (Help->Troubleshooting Information->Refresh Firefox) and all excellent now. Would recommend doing this if you have an ancient browser install like I did. (So much cruft in the config.)
Edit 3: Hmm actually looks like this is a no-smooth scrolling issue. Smooth scrolling ON covers it up. Probably my crappy PC then.
