I used to use Gmail notifier but I stopped when I got thunderbird, and now with outlook 2007 I've not really bothered changing, just check my emails about 3 times a day.

gmail notifier is awesome

change the preferences to..


New unfocused tab
show the label dropdown
reset counter when notifier icon is clicked

check every 1 mins
auto login

Theres a much better one than that one, that allows you to add multiple accounts. I'm trying to find it myself. Just reinstalled FF after having deleted half of my firefox folder
