Hi all,
I'm running Firefox 3.5.4 with Acrobat CS3 under Windows 7 Pro. When I open a link to a PDF in firefox an acrobat window opens and presents the error
'Cannot use Adobe Reader to view PDF in your web browser. Reader will now exit. Please exit your browser and try again'.
Clicking OK to this error closes the Adobe window, at which point sometimes the tab with the pdf in stays blank, and other times it loads the PDF within firefox exactly as it should
. Also if the PDF loads, clicking subsequent PDF links seems to work perfectly
. Anyone any idea what's going on? I'm fairly sure this problem has only happened since this new windows 7 installation. Could the fact I just copied my profile directory over from my old windows installation cause something like this?
I tried re-installing the acrobat plugin by manually copying the .dll, didn't help. Also it makes no difference if I run firefox as admin or in compatibility mode for Vista / XP.
Ta,
Scott.
