Hi

I am using Firefox (beta 14) and the latest edition of Tab Mix Plus addon. It has more options than I can shake a wobbly stick at but for the life of me I can't find the one that I want...

I would like Firefox to open a link in a new tab when I hold the Ctrl key down. As it is it opens a new tab next to the opened one when I do press and hold that key but the tab is in the background.

Using the shift key and it opens in a new Window.

I have looked and looked, and failed, to find the option which would change that behaviour so that a new tab is opened in the foreground when the Ctrl key is held down and a a link is clicked.

Any ideas..?

Thanks

Typical I look for ages and then post this and find it in minutes.

If anyone else is looking for this these options need to be unticked...

In Firefox's Options go to Tabs and check 'When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately'.

Thanks and that does work when you do not have Tab Mix Plus installed. :)

When it is installed it will override that function and can only be restored by unticking those boxes I noted above.

But I now no longer have the "new tab" button next to the opened tab. Even with...

.. the new tab button is not there. So using the same strategy as the above I'm posting it here in full confidence I will find it very shortly :D
