firefox being a pain

it just randomly decided that im going to use a blank bookmarks toolbar, and run as half a window instead of maximised.

i try shift x, doesnt work.

i go to properties, run as maximised, it works, i close it, run it again, and its "forgotten" and runs as a window.

AND MORE WORSE, its deleted all my bookmarks. ARGH.

nothing was changed its randomly done this.

any ideas ?

Use a recovery program to recover the bookmarks.

my advice = wait for toilen to show up, he's the fox guru!

or just search for bookmarks.html in c:\documents and settings\ or c:\users (depending on xp or vista), then import this file into bookmarks!) -show hidden files first

Sounds like a corrupted localstore.rdf if it isn't storing customisations.

Your bookmarks are probably there but hidden, though as mentioned they should be backed up in %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\[random].[profile name]\bookmarkbackups.
