FireFox Bookmark problem

I was trying to organise my bookmarks when FireFox suddenly crashed. Id selected about 50 or so book marks then tried to drag them into another folder when it did this.

Now every time i go to "bookmarks>organise bookmarks" or when i try to bookmark a page by opening the drop down box to show all folders it freezes up/crashes.

Any ideas how i can fix this?

try re-installing firefox??

i already tried uninstall>re-install but once re-installed it already had all my previous bookmarks already imported and even offered to restore my previous session from before i uninstalled it :/

It didn't import them, it just didn't delete them in the first place - reinstalling doesn't touch your profile...

Short of recovering from a backup (%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\[random characters].[profile name]\bookmarkbackups), there isn't much you can do.
