firefox bookmarks

where does firefox store bookmarks?

my pc just crashed and now firefox isnt showing any of my bookmarks. is there any way i can recover them?

now goto start, run type

firefox -p

that should bring up a dialog where you can choose your 'default' profile and you should have all of your settings/bookmarks back.

that just loaded the new new firefox (with all the bookmarks deleted).

where would that be located then?

i put that line in the run box but it said it could not be found.

and yeah firefox -p brought up that menu, but the only option was 'default' and when selected it loaded the new FF with no bookmarks/settings.

guess i've lost my (100+) bookmarks then.
