In preparation for my new build I'm trying to save my bookmarks but can't figure out how to. It is possible isn't it?

Go to Bookmarks > Manage Bookmarks > File > Export, then save as a file. Done it many times, works fine.

or, if you use more than one PC, the Foxmarks addon for synchronisation of bookmarks between PCs. Also useful for a backup.

Another thumbs up for Foxmarks, no idea how I survived without it for all these years, oh yeah I remember how I survived, I used to email new bookmarks to myself :)

Another finger for FoxMarks. I find it a better solution than manually backing up bookmarks. I no longer even worry about having backed up my most recent alterations to my bookmarks because every change is saved.

Foxmark really comes into its own when you have multiple PCs/Laptops as I do, keeps all the bookmarks in all the diff systems systems synched and I never have now what was that site I bookmarked cause I'm on a diff PC.

Much easier and better too just copy across the entire profile. Keeps everything then including tweaks, plugins, bookmarks ...etc ....etc
E:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

I keep my profile folder in FF's install dir.

Zip up the lot with paths and everything is preserved.
