I've a win2k box here that I need help with

its got two adapters, connected to two networks

there is network 1 (the internal LAN, no internet connection)
and network 2 (lan with internet)
I have network 1 as 192.168.2.xxx and network 2 as 192.168.1.xxx
IE can see 192.168.2.1 (intranet website) and use the internet
firefox can only see the internet :S

this wouldn't be an issue but I need IE7 to use the intranet site! windows 2000 does not have access to IE7!

can anyone help here?
is there either a way to sort out firefox or install IE7 on windows 2000?

just says can't find the site
seems odd that IE works (ie 6 atleast) but firefox can't! really really random
gonna give in and put a XP machine where it is and try that with IE7, atleast that will work
or maybe I should just use a VM insted

Put a default gateway entry on the 192.168.1.x network connection pointing to your router and remove the default gateway entry on the 192.168.2.x network, that should ensure that any unknown IPs are sent via the 192.168.1.x network.

EDIT: I assume you're using a subnetwork mask of 255.255.255.0 for both nets?
