Firefox - disabling animated gfx and similar

Just woundering since i cant find any options like i could in IE/advanced options.

There won't be an option in the Firefox options but it'll be in the about:config.

I use an extension called FlashBlock in FireFox.

Blocks all flash objects (Oddly enough!) until you click on them.

Not sure if this is what you're after.
