Firefox downloader ggrrr

Hi all,

Here's the deal, I started downloading BF2142 full patch 1.5 (approx 550mb), anyway, at 444 mb I had to pause it and It left an Icon on my desktop.

Why is it that when i resume the download It wants to start at the beginning again, I noticed this before, but cos they were smaller files it wasn't an issue.

Btw, the desktop icon 'properties' say the file is 444mb.

I found the same thing, so got the DownloadThemAll! extension. That works much better.

Exactly. Most download sites won't allow you to resume a download and will use some form of protection, for instance links that automatically expire.

Although I still think that part of it is just Firefox being funky. For example, a Fileplanet download the other day wouldn't resume properly within Firefox's download window, but DownloadThemAll happily resumed the same download a couple of times that day and the next.

Fx2 doesn't do download resume at all.
