I am running Firefox 3.6.17 on XP and I am having problems downloading things.
I am also running Avast 6.0.1125 and zonealarm 9.2.057.000.
The problems started last week and its driving me up the wall. I think that I downloaded an update for filerfox or avast, but I am not sure. I have used "Video Downloadhelper" without problems until recently, when I now see the file in the download window with the status "starting" and nothing happens.
I thought of upgrading to firefox 4 but it said that it was incompatible with Zone alarm. I then tried to upgrade zonealarm but firefox would not load the page (I tried again in firefox safe mode, problem remains). I have tried switching off the shields in avast but the problem remains. I am running via a netgear router, but none on the options have changed.
