Firefox email notification + AOL

I'm using AOL and trying to make it as unlike AOL as possible

The only useful thing the AOL software has that Firefox doesn't have by default is a counter showing how many emails are marked as unread in my inbox. This lets me see immediately if I have new email, which is a bit useful.

I'm sure there's a plug-in for it for Firefox, but I'm having trouble finding one that works with the Firefox 2.0.0.14 and AOL.

Working with multiple email accounts would be good - I have two.

You can download your emails into Outllook and Thunderbird very easily, both using multiple inboxes if required.
